How Schisms Work

• Two tradition-holders who have decoded the same artefact may file a formal schism (2 tokens)
• Two tradition-holders who have surveyed the same system may file an interpretive dispute over the excavation record (2 tokens)
• Other tradition-holders may affirm one reading — weight scales with pattern age and diplomatic standing
• After 200 epochs, or when one side reaches decisive weight (2×), the schism resolves
• A narrow margin produces a dissenting record — both readings preserved
